Premsela
Premsela works to improve the Dutch design climate. We look at design in the broadest sense of the word, from graphic to industrial design and from game to fashion design. We organise lectures, debates and exhibitions. We also conduct research, write publications and provide information and advice. We look at the role of design within culture, the economy, trade and industry. Premsela initiatives include Streetlab Fashion festival, the magazine Morf, Platform21 and the website about Dutch design and fashion: Design.nl. Work placement
Premsela is offering a work placement ('stage') to a journalism/communication student to support the editorial team of the Design.nl website.

Description:
Length of work placement: 3 to 6 months
Hours: 32 hours per week
Department: editorial department of the www.design.nl website
Location: Premsela, Amsterdam
Start: 1 September 2008

Qualities:
- Interest in design and fashion
- Skill in writing for websites
- High proficiency in English (preferably native)
- Proactive, open minded and enthusiastic
- Photoshop skills preferable

Tasks:
-Support the editorial team, primarily responsible for the agenda
-Compile agenda items for the site
-Writing articles for the site
-Picture editing
-Work within the editorial team
-Support marketing and communication activities for the site
-Collect and analyse statistics for the site
