Winners Nederlandse Huisstijlprijs 2009
The corporate identity of illustration studio Piet Paris designed by Coppens Alberts and that of visual copyright-organisation Pictoright designed by De Designpolitie have both been awarded a Nederlandse Huisstijlprijs for 2009. Piet Paris won in the category of 'small corporate identity' and Pictoright in 'large corporate identity.'
Printed in grey and black on white paper, the style of Studio Piet Paris, according to the jury, was a model of careful and restrained design, telling with a simple graphic animation exactly what the studio stands for. A confrontation between dull pastel colors and primary colors, and blunt rectangular letters, crossed by fine lines of a picture frame, determined the impact of Pictoright.
The Nederlandse Huisstijlprijs is a biennial award, organised by the Grafische Cultuurstichting.
