The five best designed annual reports for 2008 appear anything but dull.

Awards for annual reports and student graphic design.

Koninklijke Ahrend (Royal Ahrend), Aids Fonds (AIDS Fund), BOOM (Bureau Ontnemingswetgeving Openbaar Ministerie), Insinger de Beaufort and the VSBfonds (VSB Fund) were recognised as the best designed annual reports in The Netherlands for 2008 by the Grafische Cultuurstichting (Graphic Culture Foundation). The results were announced during the event GrafischPapierHier held on 15 November at Pakhuis de Zwijger. The design studios recognised in consecutive order are Irma Boom Office, Dietwee, BW H Ontwerpers, Dietwee and One/one. The jury consisted of Hans Looijen, Marcel Kampman, Freek Kuin, Henk Pothoff and André Toet.

In the same afternoon, Olga Adler, a graduate of Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, was awarded the prize for best graphic design student in the last academic year with her project '925'. At more than seven centimeters thick and 1200 pages thick, '925' is an impressive report from an investigation made by the designer into ethnic groups in Russia.
