'It’s no secret that we’re somewhat obsessed with good typography here at Lifelounge and what better way for us to celebrate this obsession than to collaborate with some of the most creative type geeks in the world'.

Initiated by Australian creative agency Lifelounge, Some Type of Wonderful is a typographic project where 12 international artists and designers were invited to respond to a design brief related to a designated month of the year. The results can be seen as prints for each month in a special calendar and are available as limited edition prints.

Niels SHOE Meulman (October) and Merijn Hos (February) were two Dutch designers who collaborated on the project. 'It’s no secret that we’re somewhat obsessed with good typography here at Lifelounge and what better way for us to celebrate this obsession than to collaborate with some of the most creative type geeks in the world' says project initiator Luke Lucas. 'I’ve been a massive fan of Merijn and SHOE’s work for a long time now and both of them were a real asset to the project. Each brought a really unique approach to the brief and have quite defined and diverse styles which is partly why they were selected. SHOE was chosen as he is one of the foremost typographic designers in the world and Merijn’s playful and highly detailed illustrative style is like no other'.
