Royal Delft announces acquisition of kitchen accessory and cutlery brand.

Patrick Grasso, CEO of Royal Delft said, “With this acquisition Royal Delft is making a big step towards the aimed multi-brand strategy. At the end of 2007 Royal Delft acquired the high-quality crystal products of Royal Leerdam Crystal and now, with this acquisition adds another number of outstanding brands to our portfolio. Royal Delft and Royal Leerdam Crystal can now quickly develop thanks to the supply chain and retail knowhow of Van Kempen & Begeer. As well as vases, dishes, plates, crystal glasses and design objects, following on from this acquistion designer kitchen accessories, pans and cutlery will also be added. The combination of tradition and a focus on high-quality products will now mean big advantages both operationally and commercially."

Royal Delft (1653) is the authoritative producer of authentic Delft blue. In 2007 Royal Delft took over the crystal products of Royal Leerdam Crystal.
Royal Leerdam Crystal produces a wide range of crystal products. Since the beginning of the 20th century the factory also worked with artists to ensure quality, including names such as Berlage, De Bazel, Lebeau, Lanooy, A.D. Copier and Meydam. As well as house designer Siem van der Marel, over the last number of years the company asked various young designers to work on projects for them.
