Congratulations to the Dutch winners of this year's red dot award for product design which include Philips Design, Khodi Feiz, VanBerlo, Muller van Tol and more.

This year's winners of the red dot award for product design have been announced.

From a total of 4252 entries from 57 nations, 830 products received the coveted award, 45 of those being 'best of the best.' The jury consisted of international design figures with The Netherlands represented by Herman Hermsen and Satyendra Pakhalé.

The 17 Categories for product design were: living rooms and bedrooms; households & kitchens; tableware; bathrooms, spa and air-conditioning; lighting and lamps; gardens, leisure, sport and games; fashion and accessories, watches and jewellery, architecture and interior design; offices; industry and crafts; life science and medicine; automobiles, transport and caravans; entertainment, technology and cameras; communication; computer.

Dutch winners included Khodi Feiz with the Giannina Family of coffee and tea tableware, Muller van Tol with the stand design for Leolux at IMM Cologne, Nike sportswear store interior, Child Restraint System (car seat) by HTS BeSafe, creditcard protector by Secrid and Payment terminal and Chemelot signage system by VanBerlo. From the Dutch winners, Philips received the most accolades overall in multiple categories including lighting, households and kitchens, entertainment technology and cameras, and computer. The Van Gogh museum shop designed by Harmeling Interieurconcepten received a 'best of the best' award in category of Architecture and Interior design. Winners will be presented with their awards in a special ceremony on 4 July 2010. An exhibition highlighting the winning designs will be on view from 5 July until 1 August 2010 in the red dot design museum, Essen, Germany.
