Next month "Food Culture: Eating by Design" opens at the Designhuis in Eindhoven. In the coming weeks we will talk with curator Marije Vogelzang. This week we have an interview with two of the moss interesting food designers working today - Martin Hablesreiter and Anna Maria Orru. Also this week DAE student Andrea Brena has been included in the Jury Selection DMY Award 2012 with his Knitted Army project and we offer you an overview of upcoming student fashion shows.
Why Food Design Matters
In preparation for next month’s opening of “Food Culture: Eating by Design” at the Designhuis in Eindhoven we talk to two of the most interesting food designers working today.
Academy fashion shows
Unlike most designer fashion shows, academy shows are open to the public and more often than not feature some real gems.
Knitted Army
Andrea Brena is coming at design in his own way … and it may just work out. He took a break from DAE to remind himself what real life was like.
Reinventing The Machine
Located in a former mining area of Belgium, C-mine is the setting for The Machine, an exhibition of new work by designers who re-invent the machine for a post mass-production world.
