Milan blog #3: Groene Honden
The 'Groene Honden, jong ontwerp' (Green dogs, young design) Foundation is a platform in which 13 young designers unite their powers, to exhibit their individual projects and to realise new projects and products as a group. In Milan they are presenting their work via TuttoBene. One of the participants Jana Flohr, reports.

At last, the young design represented by Stichting Groene Honden (Green Dogs Foundation) will be at Salone de Mobile in Milan. Only a year ago, people who attended our very first exhibition asked what we intended to do with the Green Dogs.
"Next year in Milan!" we said, straight away. A great ambition, of course, but then you have to realise it. During our exhibition at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven we were approached by Tuttobene, who offered us the opportunity to present our products under their flag in Milan. This was a chance to present the Green Dogs to an international public. Now, after five months preparation, many turbulent meetings and two days of intense hard labour, we have a new exhibition and we can open the prosecco.
The products are connected with each other by being placed in a series. The shows start with dolls by Rosalie Bak, then the mobile cabinet 'Home is where the heart is' by Jana Flohr, then the 'Roset' and 'Flown Up' lamps by Frederike Top. If you follow the series around the corner, you'll see the sheets by Roza Pelgrom and the glass carafes by Rosalie Bak. A little further on there is the rug by Manon de Bruijn, followed by the Animals by Liesbeth Huizing (photo red object). If you carry on, you'll see the 'Washing Devices' by Suzanne Rietdijk, and the Green Dogs shop. These are connected with the last past of the exhibition, 'The Selfish Gene' lamp series by Lola Hesp. The presentation stands, and we sit. At last. Let tomorrows visitors come. We're ready to be seen! The Green Dogs Foundation, Young Design 'Unfold' is in Milan, and that's only the beginning? See you in two years' time, in Tokyo?
