Milan 09 - Day 3
Today's update comes to you from Zona Tortona. Christien Meindertsma tells us why 'the flax project' was her dream job, Moooi goes mathematical and Pieke Bergmans launches her new Crate Cabinets and limited edition Light Blubs.
Pieke Bergmans Handles With Care
Alongside special editions of 'Light Blubs' which infected vintage metal office furniture, Pieke Bergmans showed a new series of 'Crate Cabinets' inspired by wooden transportation crates.
LED lamp steals the show at Moooi
Moooi presented new products from designers including a vase and table from Front, new paper furniture from Studio Job and our favourite, lights from Raimond Puts, a Dutch mathematics professor.
Christien Meindertsma's dream project
Based around the tradition of rope-making, 'the flax project' designed by Christien Meindertsma in collaboration with Thomas Eyck was a breath of fresh air in a Milanese-ocean of over-design.
