Milan 09 - Day 1
For this whole week, Design.nl comes to you live from Milan where the events for the Milan Furniture fair are well under way. Today's newsletter is the first of four updates. We checked out Maarten Baas' same/unique presentations, saw Tord Boontje's tiles for Bisazza and bumped into Richard Hutten who gave us his five minutes worth about design.
Five minutes in Milan - Richard Hutten
We bumped into Richard Hutten at the Prophets & Penitents exhibition organised by DAMn magazine, where we spoke about chairs and his allergy to design.
Same same but different
Maarten Baas played with the idea of passing time and standard uniqueness for his presentations in Milan.
Digital Memories
In Milan, Tord Boontje unveiled his new nature-inspired mosaic patterns and furniture pieces for Bisazza Home.
Design Why? Discussion platform Milan
If you can't make it to Milan, you can still check out some events live online. The four-day discussion platform Design Why? has created a blog to broadcast the action and debate as it happens.
