Designer Karen Polder has designed the new 'Letter Garden' at the Meermanno Museum in The Hague.

‘A garden full of letters to surprise, embrace and to make your own' is how designer Karen Polder describes her design.

Polder's design was chosen after a competition was held and judged by a jury (including children). Sculptures will be built in the garden which are on the one hand letters, and on the other have a function. The different parts of the design invite you to find and form words, as well as climbing, sitting, lying, crawling and hiding.

The museum hopes to start the realisation of the project in August 2008.
