Jewellery Unleashed! shows jewellery which has a connection with fine art, fashion and design, the so-called author jewellery.

In the last forty years this type of jewellery has developed worldwide, with The Netherlands playing an important role.

This was the reason for the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem (MMKA) to collect and exhibit jewellery from the 70s. More than eighty jewellery designers from twenty- five countries show in Jewellery Unleashed! that the possibilities of contemporary jewellery are unlimited.

The exhibition brings together existing work and pieces specially conceived for this exhibition by some 80 designers from 25 different countries. Jewellery will be on show by: Natalya Pinchuk (United States), Lisa Walker (New Zeeland), Pia Aleborg (Sweden), Mia Maljojoki (Finland / Munich) Mari Keto (Finland / Copenhagen), Suska Mackert (Germany / Hamburg), Christian Hoedl (Austria / Munich), Celio Braga (Brasil/ Amsterdam), Frédéric Braham (France), Jiro Kamata (Japan /Germany), and Lucy Sarneel, Liesbeth Bussche, Erik Kuiper from the Netherlands.
