The SENZ XL storm umbrella has been awarded gold in the International Design Excellence Awards.

IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) is an international competition honouring design excellence in products, ecodesign, interaction design, packaging, strategy, research and concepts. Entries are invited from designers, students and companies worldwide.

The SENZ XL storm umbrella is the first aerodynamic golf umbrella. Due to its asymmetric design, the umbrella automatically finds the best position in the wind, making it comfortable and easy to use, even in strong gusts. The patented construction makes it windproof up to 70 MPH, and the umbrella will not invert. The specially shaped "eye savers" provides protection to dangerous tips and the aerodynamic shape of the umbrella gives the user an excellent view and the opening mechanism has been integrated into the handle.

The jury said, "besides being gorgeous, this product is brilliantly conceived, surprising and satisfying in function. This product is a vast improvement on its predecessors."
