An estimated 400, 000 people are expected to attend London’s festival of design this September and Dutch designers will be very much in evidence. Three events not to miss are Double-Dutch – A Feast of Flowers, Roots and the Piet Hein Eek Pop-Up Shop.

Double-Dutch – A Feast of Flowers
The Flower Council of Holland is opening a guerrilla flower installation in the heart of the Brompton Design District from September 15 to 19. Top Dutch designers will create a floral banquet to show how flowers can be used in interior design.

Roots

Roots is an installation to stimulate the senses that will be created by Marije Vogelzang, the founder of Proef, a food-design laboratory located in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Organized by the design boutique Mint, Roots takes place between September 19 and 30 at the Mint store in Wigmore Street.

Piet Hein Eek Pop-Up Shop
Gallery Rabih Hage will open a Pop-up shop for Dutch designer-producer Piet Hein Eek this September 19 to 30 in the Brompton Design District. It will be Piet’s biggest solo showcase, housing many pieces from the vast and ever-growing collection that he produces from his workshop in Geldrop near Eindhoven.
