Dutch Design Double
Under the new umbrella 'Dutch Design Double', Amsterdam and Utrecht will host five weeks of design and fashion events.
Dutch Design Double takes over Amsterdam and Utrecht
Two Dutch cities, more than 25 design events, spread over five weeks. Dutch Design Double celebrates Dutch design from 4 September until 11 October 2009.
Last year Dutch Design was celebrated under the name of FreeDesigndom, with four weeks of events in Amsterdam and Utrecht. This year, the same event has been renamed Dutch Design Double, and the programme will be extended for one extra week.
The two Dutch cities will host a variety of internationally orientated design events catering to industry and media professionals, but also to the general public. The programme this year includes PICNIC Amsterdam (conference and networking festival about crossmedia content and technology), the Woonbeurs Amsterdam home show, the popular Inside Design Amsterdam exhibition, DARE (Dutch Artistic Research Event) Utrecht Manifest (social design biennale) and Hoograven Invites You.
With its wide-ranging programme, Dutch Design Double (formerly called FreeDesigndom) is a major event on the international creative calendar, held annually in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
Check the Dutch Design Double website soon for the full program.
