Design.nl hosts interview with Ben van Berkel in Milan
Design.nl will host a live design interview with the Dutch architect and designer Ben van Berkel on Thursday 23 April in Milan.
In the interview, Van Berkel will discuss the process and design for the MYChair for Walter Knoll and architecture's relationship to interior and product design. Van Berkel's firm UNStudio (previously Van Berkel & Bos Architectuur Bureau) is one of the most highly regarded architectural practices today, with a portfolio of projects including the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart and the iconic Möbius House in Het Gooi.
Organised by Premsela, the interview will take place 23 April from 17:30 to 18:30 as part of Design Why? as part of KABK, during the Fuori Salone Milan. Since 2002, Premsela Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion has been working to improve the cultural climate for design in the Netherlands. Premsela does this through lectures, debates, exhibitions, research and publications in the Netherlands and abroad. In the next few years, Premsela will run multi-year programmes in the areas of heritage and history, globalisation, and amateurism. Premsela publishes Morf and of course Design.nl.
