DesignBoost comes to Arnhem in a special edition entitled DesignBoost - [Made in Arnhem] which will focus on the theme 'Design for Life.'

The objective of the design event DesignBoost - Made in [Arnhem] is to make everybody question, reach awareness and think in new paths when it comes to creating better lives for lots of people. This is after all the ultimate goal for all design.

In thinking about "Design for Life" there are probably many things that need to be questioned: left could very well be right. It's time to rethink design. To create long term value instead of short term profit. Design is all about how we can create better lives for the many. To focus on producing better instead of just more. We need optimism, new spirit and change!

The event comprises the BoostChat(workshop) and BoostTalk (lecture).

Workshops are by invitation only. The BoostTalk (lectures) will be held on Tuesday 7 September from 10am-4pm at Auditorium ArtEZ, Oude Kraan 26, Arnhem. Registration is free, spaces are limited. Please email: sophieschijf@gmail.com.

BoostTalk speakers include Ineke Hans (Designer), Richard Hutten (Designer), Satyendra Pakhale (Designer), Brent Richards (Architect), Joffrey Walonker (Design manager), Flora Bowden (Sustainable development), Roelof Mulder (Designer), Rudy Stroink (Coach) and Sean Pillot de Chenecey (Trends analyst).

DesignBoost - Made in [Arnhem] is a collaboration between DesignBoost, Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem, ArtEZ hogeschool voor de kunsten, Premsela and City of Arnhem.
