From 13 to 20 October 2010 the HKU Design Route will pass through Utrecht city centre taking in some of the city's shops, galleries and other unique design locations.

Twenty five students from the HKU 3D Design and Industrial Design courses will present their final graduation works in a number of shop windows around the town.

This year’s participating designers are: Lotte Lene Holtappels, Linsey van den Abeele, Sander Muijsers, Marlene Schmeitz, Marte Haverkamp, Lotte Rijpstra, Sanne de Graaf, Catania Antonio, Milou Parthesius, Mirre Hulsbosch, Dirk van de Kraan, Niek de Kort, Pascal Teuling, Janine van den Bosch, Margit Hollenkamp, Kika Brinkman, Charlotte van der Horst, Kayleigh Burgmeijer, Evelyne Bok, Sanne Breij, Stella Teunissen, Jasper van den Boezem, Sofie Groot Dengerink, Rianne Bruin

The HKU Design Route forms part of Dutch Design Double. During this event, Amsterdam and Utrecht will host more than twenty design, fashion and new media projects. In light of Rietveld Year, this year's Dutch Design Double honours the Utrecht-based designer Gerrit Rietveld. His work consists of more than one hundred buildings and many more pieces of furniture. Rietveld's work formed great inspiration for the development of many architects and designers.

The HKU design route will be on from 13 until 30 October, 2010. Even outside store opening hours, works will be on display at all times in the windows. Free entrance.
