Bas Kosters to present new collection for Heineken
Multi-concept artist Bas Kosters, mostly known as a fashion designer will collaborate with beer giant Heineken on a new fashion collection.
Beer and fashion come together
Bas Kosters will create a new collection for Heineken called Bas Kosters Heineken Beat Collection which draws on the on-the-road and backstage experiences and stories of Kosters' band Superior Experience. Previously in 2006, Kosters made a non commercial collection featuring pieces made from recycled discarded Heineken parasols. No doubt full of surprises, the collection will be available exclusively from the concept store Heineken The City in January 2009.
Besides fashion, Kosters also works with music, illustration, painting, installations and is renowned for his trademark dolls. His work is clearly recognisable by an opulent use of colours, intensive embroidery and the use of his signature prints. Kosters is also one of the designers from Red Light Fashion Amsterdam.
