Award for Jannissima! backpack
A Dutch submission, the Velina Volante backpack by Jannissima! has received recognition at the European Design Contest 2007 for beginning designers, organized by German foundation Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie
This year’s theme was ‘The Fine Art of Travelling’. Some 114 students from 14 countries sent in a total of 68 designs. Jannissima!’s Design received a Special Mention in the Special Award Luggage category.The designer behind Jannissima!, Jannita van den Haak, graduated last year from the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Man and Leisure course. Last year she won the public prize at the Dutch Design Prizes 2006 for her backpack. Velina Volante is a backpack specially developed for female backpackers.
