Minister of Education, Culture and Science Ronald Plasterk has presented a new plan for culture, called 'Art of Life', that places design and architecture high on the agenda. Plasterk thinks it important that these two disciplines are made accessible to a wider public.
In his plan, the minister says that more attention needs to be paid to international developments in design. He also wants to see a broader research programme in support of the creative industry, and to set up a new innovative infrastructure for talent, experiment, research and renewal. Institutions with interests in the areas of design, architecture and cultural heritage are invited to submit plans for development.Source: OCW
