Every seven years Stefan Sagmeister takes a twelve-month sabbatical to do nothing but create autonomous work. But he will not be doing so this year, because he will be presenting his exhibition Another show about promotion and advertising material at MOTI from 14 April!

"Stefan Sagmeister is a pop star" according to the Director of MOTI, Mieke Gerritzen. He has sought out the boundaries and crossed them, which has meant that a great deal has changed in Graphic Design.

In his exhibition Another show about promotion and advertising material Sagmeister sells himself by creating designs for international brands and setting up collaborations with well-known clients as well as unknown ones. His clientele includes the Guggenheim Museum; he has designed graphics for the Rolling Stones and the American TV channel HBO. In addition to countless distinctions he has received a Grammy for his sleeve design for the Talking Heads’ album Once In A Lifetime. His lectures at the world famous TED Talks have been watched a million times on Youtube. Another show about promotion and advertising material visualises the interaction between client and graphic designer and shows us just how diverse and exciting the profession can be.
