In collaboration with the Netherlands Institute in Sint-Petersburg (NIP), the Special Collections department of the University of Amsterdam is organizing an exhibition about modern Amsterdam book design.

This exhibition will be on show from 26 May until 17 June 2012 at the creative platform Taiga Space in Sint-Petersburg.

In this exhibition work by Irma Boom, Hansje van Halem and – working under the pseudonym Lesley Moore – Karin van den Brandt and Alex Clay will be on show. Each of them design mostly for the cultural sector. Boom's work is part of MoMA New York's permanent collection and her archive is housed at the Special Collections department. Thirty somethings Van Halem, Van den Brandt and Clay saw their books crowned 'Best Designed Books' various times.
