Since graduating from the Rietveld Academie in 2003, Finnish-born Tanner’s jewellery has been imbued with a narrative character. Her brooches and objects show people in expressive postures.

In her new work, the accent lies more on objects and patterns that will stimulate the imagination. In contrast to the complexity of the language form, the material is sober: silver, aluminium, wood and plastics. The colours are also subdued: a lot of black, white, grey and fair wood tints.The exhibition opens on september 5th from 17:00 untill 19:00 hrs.

Lecture – Nelli Tanner
This Sunday, September 6, one day after the opening of her exhibition at Galerie Rob Koudijs, Nelli Tanner (Finland) will give a lecture on jewellery design. The lecture starts at 15.30; location is the I Amsterdam press centre on Oudezijds Achterburgwal 78hs.
