Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (1888-1964) is worldfamous for the Rietveld-Schröderhouse and one chair, the red-blue ‘Rietveld’ chair. He designed more than 100 houses and more than 350 pieces of furniture.

For ‘100x Rietveld’ are designs chosen famous for their colour and construction. There are also models on the exhibition which are never made in real or the original was lost. Because all models are made on  scale 1:3, it was possible to use the original materials and construction.

‘100x Rietveld’ is designed and made by Harry Hoek. He also made ‘2000x dick’ about the bookcovers of Dick Bruna, shown earlier this year in the library.
